Yellow Squash Puree Ingredients
1 potato peeled
3 – 4 yellow squash
Yellow Squash Puree Instructions
- Place peeled potato in a microwave-safe bowl with 1 tbsp water.
- Cook until tender.
- Mash with water or breast milk or formula.
- Trim the ends of the squash.
- Steam or microwave squash in a small amount of water until tender.
- Transfer potato and squash to bowl and mix, blend or sieve to desired consistency.
Tips
Peel squash if a smooth puree is required.
Instead of using cooked potato mix yellow squash with prepared iron-enriched commercial baby rice cereal. This is good for a smooth puree.
