Yellow Squash Puree Ingredients

1 potato peeled
3 – 4 yellow squash

Yellow Squash Puree Instructions

  1. Place peeled potato in a microwave-safe bowl with 1 tbsp water.
  2. Cook until tender.
  3. Mash with water or breast milk or formula.
  4. Trim the ends of the squash.
  5. Steam or microwave squash in a small amount of water until tender.
  6. Transfer potato and squash to bowl and mix, blend or sieve to desired consistency.


Peel squash if a smooth puree is required.
Instead of using cooked potato mix yellow squash with prepared iron-enriched commercial baby rice cereal. This is good for a smooth puree.


Makes 4 ice cubes
